Monte Stella

Beautiful walk along the ridge with views on either side that sweeps down to the coast towards the Amalfi coast and Capri to the north and Palinuro and the Cilento to the south.  You have to come back on yourself so just stop when you want. There are several extensions clearly marked along the route if you want to walk to a nearby village or simply keep walking.

Monte Stella to Galdo

The walk from the Monte Stella down to Galdo is 2 hours downhill from a path before the Area Attrezzata. You have to consider how to get back to the car if you are only planning on going downhill.  This can also be extended all the way down to the coast which would take you from a height of over 1,000m to sea level in a morning. The views are stunning.

Perhaps arrange to be taken to the top and you can walk home.

Up on the Monte Stella

Monte Stella from the area attrezzata (picnic area) up to the military aerial. 1 hour round trip through chestnut woods where you can pick up lovely chestnuts to roast on the fire in November.
